The academic system of Dubai

Dubai is known for providing premium quality education. After completing the 12th standard a student must appear in the Emirates Standardized Test (EmSAT) to get admission for bachelor’s. It is mandatory for international students as well. A bachelor’s degree will take 2 to 3 years to complete.

After completing the bachelor’s, students can go for a master’s degree. The master’s degree will take 1 or 2 years, depending upon the intensity of the classes and the demand of the subject.

Visa requirement to study in Dubai

To study in Dubai you must have a student visa. This student visa will be valid for 1 year. After that, you need to renew it. To get the visa you will need some documents such as

  • A passport with at least 6 months validity, the passport must have two blank visa pages (one to endorse the visa and one for entry stamps)
  • Passport copies (about 4).
  • Photographs (about 12)
  • Passport copies (about 2 copies)
  • Upon arrival, passport copies with entry visa to the UAE (about 3 copies)
  • Evidence of acceptance to a UAE tertiary institute (offer letter)
  • Possibly bank statements showing evidence of funds in the UAE
  • Possibly a tenancy agreement (or letter from the university if staying in university accommodation)
  • Copy of tuition fee receipt for the current study year of the program
  • Copy of visa fees receipt for the current study year of the program
  • Post-graduate students will need to have their undergraduate degree attested

Cost of Education and Accommodation in Dubai

The cost of the undergraduate program can range between 37500 to 70000 AED (7,72,000-14,42,000 INR) per year while the postgraduate program costs between 30000 to 75000 AED (6,64,473-15,45,000 INR) per year.

Covid 19 pandemic has changed the world and its rule forever. The most important thing is the personal awareness. Although most of the countries have lifted the restrictions while some of them still have a bit of restriction for the benefit of the citizens and travellers. UAE is one of them who have a bit of restrictions on travel.

So the necessary guidelines are-

  • If you want to travel to, from or through the UAE then you must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19.
  • If you are fully vaccinated then you have to show proof such as the vaccination certificate. This vaccination must be approved by World Health Organisation (WHO) or the UAE.
  • This certificate must contain a QR code on it.
  • If you are not vaccinated then you have to show a certificate of RT-PCR test done before 48 hrs of travelling. This certificate must contain a QR code as well.
  • If you have been infected previously, you need to show the certificate of RT-PCR test done before 30 days of travelling.
  • If you are travelling to Dubai then you must know some more rules such as-
    If you are travelling to Dubai then you must be fully vaccinated. You will be asked to show the certificate of vaccination as well.
  • This vaccination must be approved by World Health Organisation (WHO) or the UAE.
    The passenger must have a certification of Covid 19 negative. This test should be based on a molecular diagnostic test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid for SARS‑COV‑2 viral RNA.
    The negative certification must be issued within 48 hrs of the sample collection.
  • This certification must contain a QR code on it.
  • If you have recovered from Covid 19 then you have to show the certification of the recovery issued by a health authority and this certificate also needs to be issued before 1 month of arrival. This certificate must contain a QR code.
